Pavel Radimov

b. 1887

Pavel Radimov was a Russian and Soviet painter and poet, the last chairman of the Peredvizhniki (Wanderers) and the founding head of the AKhRR association of realist artists. Admitted to the Peredvizhniki in 1914 on the recommendation of Ilya Repin, he specialized in landscapes and city views alongside politically themed painting and poetry. His work was shown internationally in Venice, London, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Stockholm and New York.
